Clerk to the Governing Body

We are looking to recruit a Grade 4 clerk to the Governing Body for up to 90 hours per year, term time only, to join our friendly and over-subscribed village primary school. The hours will preferably be worked during afternoons and early evenings (finishing at 6.30pm), although there is some flexibility for the right applicant. The position is available from April 2019 and this is a permanent appointment.

• enthusiasm and who understands how small schools work
• motivation and the ability to work both independently and within a team
• good interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with governors and staff

Midday Meal Supervisor

We are a happy caring Primary School with approximately 150 children between the ages of 4 and 11 years old. We are looking to appoint two enthusiastic lunchtime supervisors to start on 3rd January 2019. The post is for 1 hour per day Monday to Friday – 12.00pm – 1.00pm term time only.

The pay for the lunchtime supervisor role will be grade 2, point 8, (£8.62 per hour or £16,626 pro rata), which is for 60 minutes per day, 5 hours per week term time only. This is a permanent contract.

Working alongside our existing lunchtime team, you will be expected to lay out the hall for lunch, assist our younger children where necessary and clear the hall once they have all finished.  Our existing team also supervise the playground at lunchtime on a rotational basis.  There will be some manual handling involved in the moving of tables and chairs.
