School Lunchtime Meals

Lunch break for all children runs from 12.00pm – 1.00pm each day, although children eat in two sittings.  All of Blue and Yellow classes (and some from Red, Orange and Green) eat their lunch at 12.00pm in the hall, followed by all of Red and Orange classes (and some of Green) at 12.30pm.  Children may either bring in their own packed lunch or have a hot school meal.

Hot meals are provided by Chartwells and can be purchased in two ways:

• using their website https://westsussex.mealselector.co.uk/  or

• phoning on 01243 836130 or 0845 6037998

Parents wishing to purchase meals for their children must place their order and make payment a minimum of one full week in advance of the entire week that they require the order. The cut-off point for an entire week's meal order is (for telephone orders - 3pm on the Friday a whole week prior to the week that the meals are required for), and for on-line ordering 12 midnight on the Sunday a whole week prior to the week that the meals are required for.  Once a cut-off point for a week has been reached the dates are locked and no further alteration can be made on-line.

You do not need to order for the whole week, single days may be ordered but there is a minimum £10 order. Payments can be made by credit card, debit card or cheque.  Menus can be found on the website or you can pick one up from the school office.
NB - If your child is going on a school trip or has a school event - please remember to cancel in sufficient time to gain a credit for that meal - 5 full working days in advance.

Alternatively, children may bring in their own packed lunch.  Children are encouraged to ensure their lunch is healthy and to avoid sweets and fizzy drinks.  As we have children with severe nut allergies we also ask that no nuts or products containing nuts are brought into school.  Children may bring a drink to have with their lunch and also a water bottle to have during the day in class.
